Galena Brewing Company has done a remarkable job bringing craft beer back to Galena. There were several Galena breweries during the town’s mining heyday, but they closed down and left the town relatively dry until the return of Galena Brewing Company in 2009. Like some of the bigger-name breweries in Illinois, Galena breweries produce a fantastic array of craft brews, all built on a solid foundation of local ingredients and attention to detail.
The Galena Brewing Company is a short three-minute walk from our Bed and Breakfast, so it’s easy to walk down there for a cold pint of beer in the afternoon – whether between adventures or just for a change of scenery. They have a great selection of beer on top and a full menu. It’s a great place to stop for lunch! They also host regular live music during the summer, making it one of the best spots to enjoy a lively evening in Galena!
