June is a fun month to be in Galena, with 2 great events kicking off the summer fun. The first of this summer’s fun events is the Great Galena Balloon Race, which will take place from June 16 – 18, 2017. This incredible event features a hot air balloon race, tethered balloon rides, live music and entertainment, great food and wine, and fantastic evening shows where hot air balloons light up the sky over Galena during the Night Glow Extravaganza. Friday’s highlights include an evening balloon race, the night glow, and the Ale Fest sponsored by Galena River Wine & Cheese. Saturday’s events include more hot air balloon races, another chance to see the spectacular night glow, live music, and wine flights with Galena River Wine and Cheese. The second must-see event of June is for wine lovers.
