We think you’ll feel the difference from the moment you pull up in front of our beautifully restored four-story brick building, once the former jail for Jo Daviess County. Given the historic nature of our building, there are no elevators upstairs to our suites. We’ll gladly help you with your luggage as we give you a tour of our spaces and your guest room. There’s plenty of parking in front of our Galena Bed and Breakfast. If you happen to be visiting us in a Tesla, we offer one of the only Tesla/EV chargers in town, and it’s dedicated to use by guests at our Galena Bed and Breakfast only!
Each of our guest rooms is a spacious 800-square-foot oasis featuring a separate bedroom with a king-sized bed, a luxury bathroom with jetted tubs and/or steam showers, and a sitting area with a kitchenette. A few amenities you can expect in the rooms are a customizable Bluetooth sound system, luxuriously soft Frette robes, luxury linens, fireplaces, a chilled bottle of champagne, and a custom box of chocolates.
As you wake up refreshed in the morning, join us downstairs in the dining room for a gourmet breakfast. We’re also happy to bring you breakfast directly to your suite in the morning if you prefer a slower start. From there, you can relax in your room, enjoy a little time on our back deck or front patios, or venture beyond our walls to the beautiful, charming town of Galena itself. In the afternoon, return to our Galena Bed and Breakfast for a delicious wine & appetizer tray filled with house-made appetizers, freshly baked cookies, and a selection of charcuterie from local favorite Galena River Wine & Cheese. This tray is also accompanied by your personally chosen selection of wine or other beverages.
