"Let me first say that I wish I could give Matthew and Jail Hill Inn B&B more than 5 stars. Jail Hill Inn is really a gem, and Matthew made it even better. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Matthew's welcoming and warm personality. Our room on the third floor was just beautiful. We have a view of trees and access to the back deck, which is also quaintly set up. The room was spotless, and Matthew provided everything one could think of. He is way ahead of you as far as your needs. Even if you're looking for something that might not be there, you would be wrong because, as I've said, Matthew is way ahead of you and everything that you need is in your room and then some. The decor of the room is beautiful. Matthew's afternoon appetizers with wine are excellent and filling. His breakfasts are delicious, and the best part! it's local and organic. It is also in town, so you're just a walk away from restaurants, stores, bars and everything the town has to offer, plus you get your steps too! Overall, Matthew made our anniversary getaway extra special. We cannot wait to go back and be pampered by Matthew again! If you haven't visited yet, you are missing out. He truly deserves the best B&B award in the U.S. and, of course, the best place to stay in all of Illinois."
