CANCELLATIONS
If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 14 (fourteen) days* prior to your arrival date to alert us of your cancellation.
 
In the unlikely event that you must cancel with less than 14 (fourteen) days* notice, shorten your stay or check out early, please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can rebook your room(s), a full or partial refund will be issued.
 
All cancellations are subject to a $50.00 - $100 administrative/rebooking fee, regardless of when or why the reservation is cancelled.
 
*A 30-day cancellation notice is required on whole house bookings and for some individual room reservations which are booked on holiday and/or special event dates.
 
Rates and policies are subject to change without notice due to special requests and/or time of year.
 
GIFT CERTIFICATES
If you plan to use a Jail Hill Inn gift certificate or a Select Registry gift card for your payment, please call 815-777-3000 to make your reservation. Gift certificates and gift cards cannot be processed online.
 
DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS
A 50 percent deposit is collected at the time of booking your reservation. The remaining balance is due at check-in. Payment for gift certificates and retail items is collected at time of purchase.

Check-out: 12:00 Noon
If arriving at the inn outside of check-in times, please call in advance to make arrangements.
 
SMOKING
Jail Hill Inn is a smoke-free establishment. There is absolutely No Smoking inside the inn or suites. Designated outdoor smoking areas are available.
 
STAIRS
Jail Hill Inn is a 135-year-old, four-story tall building. Our suites on the 3rd and 4th floors offer impressive views. Jail Hill Inn does not feature an elevator. Guests staying on the upper levels of the property climb 3 to 4 flights of stairs to reach their suites.
 
CHILDREN
Jail Hill Inn is a quiet and romantic getaway for many of our guests. Therefore, it is not appropriate for children under the age of 15 to stay at the inn.
 
PETS
We are not able to accommodate guest pets due to the intimate size of our historic property.
 
BREAKFAST
A three-course gourmet breakfast is served between 9:00-10:00 a.m. each day at the inn’s first floor dining room.
 
WINE & CHEESE RECEPTION
The wine and cheese reception is held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. every day at the inn’s lobby area.
 
DIETARY REQUESTS
Jail Hill Inn can accommodate any dietary need. To share your food preferences, please leave a note in the dietary restrictions section of your online reservation or send an email to the innkeeper any time before your arrival.
 
PARKING
Guests may park directly in front of the property, on either side of the street, at any time. There is no time limit and it is first come, first served. Please contact the innkeeper if special parking arrangements are needed for any reason.
